Team Everest: A Himalayan Journey. Expedition Leader: Gary Guller
“Team Everest: A Himalayan Journey” chronicles a remarkable group of trekkers on an expedition to the world’s highest mountain. If they succeed in their quest, the team will be the largest group of people with disabilities ever to reach Mount Everest Base Camp.
Five men in wheelchairs and their teammates—representing a range of disabilities—trek 21 days through the high Himalaya. From their departure in the Sherpa village of Lukla, the team will attempt to reach an altitude of over 17,500 feet in one of the most inaccessible regions on earth. GullersTravels having a party with friends

Our leader, Gary Guller, is back from his work, excited and inspired by the extremely nice folks that he met over the last couple of days in Washington D.C. at their annual "Diversity Day" celebration. Although the day was in a business type setting (gov't office building), the positive energy that Gary felt with the folks attending was they truly did believe (or trying to open their mind) that there was a renewed appreciation of differnces within their work life. Most importantly, and Gary feels, the deepest meaning of today was we really can continue to move forward in a positive direction all together, regardless of culture, colour, gender, orientation, disability etc. It all begins, in our opinion, that at first, we must fully accept ourselves and then being "aware" enough to make the neccesary changes to give opportunity, thought or idea, without angle, to others - then be prepared to listen. When the best idea comes from everyone's diverse input input and everyone believing this is true, then the idea of "Diversity of Thought" or "Interconnected Acceptance of Thought" can really begin and a different level of success is acheieved.

On lighter side of life...We have found some new friends - It is clear we also enjoy Diversity in the Compassion Wagon. We're just missing 3 team members. Jt, M and Z - we will all be together soon!

Repetitive Action Virtuous Action?

Is repetitive action virtuous action? If behavior and conduct are merely repetitive processes then all human relationships actually cease. If I behave mechanically every day, - repeating a certain code of conduct which I have learnt, which I find profitable, or which is pleasant, repeating that over and over again, - my relationship with you ceases, completely - I have become a machine. - J.
